1500 x 900mm Original Painting on stretched Canvas.
A lively celebration of an iconic Wellingtonian brand and the pin-up girl era.
New Zealand is a part of the British Commonwealth so up until a couple of decades ago, we were predominantly a tea drinking nation with instant and drip coffee. My haven't we come along way! Today we are coffee connoisseurs and have more coffee roasters per capita than anywhere in the world. Cafe L'Affare, italian for Coffee Business is based out of Wellington and is one of the first companies to bring us into the new world of coffee. We don’t see many Italians down our way (unless they’re playing rugby or racing us in yachts), but I think it would be fair to say it’s probably the Italians who inspired the coffee craze in New Zealand. Primo! I've transported this lovely lady into the modern era and combined her alluring curves with some of the things that New Zealanders hold dear. The result, a sexy blend of nostalgia and kiwiana, of sensuality and consumability, and of the most enduring combination of all - sex and selling.
